Barbados Dive Fest 2024 set to make comeback in August

Barbados Dive Fest 2024 set to make comeback in August

Barbados: Barbados Dive Fest 2024 is all set to make comeback from August 18 to 24, 2024 to celebrate the adventurous theme of the island nation. With action-packed schedule, the festival will display the turtle culture and diving stunts.  

The festival will kickstart on August 18, 2024, with beach clean-up at 8: 00 am where volunteers will gather to clean the beaches and foster the environmental protection aspects. The second event will kick off at 9: 30 am with Snorkeling, aiming to offer adventurous experiences to the tourists.  

The second activity of the day will be Scuba Diving, to which the tourists will be invited to discover the technique and other processes of the sport. Try Freediving will be the last event of the day in which the tourists will participate in the diving fest.  

The dive fest 2024 will open at 6:00 pm with a vibrant opening ceremony.  

On Monday, August 19, 2024, the attendees will explore local wrecks and ruins from 9: 00 am to 2: 00 pm. They will also be given a chance to get two dives in the different beaches of Barbados.  

The third day will feature two events on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 where the attendees will be asked to participate in the deep diving activities and Sea Turtle Survey from 9: 00 am to 2 pm. In the Sea Turtle Survey, they will explore unique features of the species, how to feed and produce their food in the seas.  

On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the attendees will participate in the “Lionfish Hunt” with two dives from 9: am to 1 pm. In the event, the divers will explore new techniques of hunting and learn about different species that reside in the seas.  

At 3: 00 pm, the attendees will explore Lionfish Raft-up on the same day.  

On Thursday, August 22, 2024, the photography competition will be held from 9 am to 2 pm in which the attendees will click different and unique photos of the sea species and explore their culture.  

The nigh dive will kickstart at 6: 00 pm in which one dive will be allowed for the participants.  

The second last day will kick off with Dive Against Debris on August 23, 2024 at 9: 00 am and the Bingo Drive will also be held from 9 am to 2 pm.  

On Saturday, August 24, 2024, the attendees will participate in Crazy Recycled Boat Race and the winners will be given exciting gifts from 9 am to 10: 30 am. Further, the last day will feature freediving where the patrons will experience diving adventurous from 11: 00 am to 2: 00 pm.  

The Dive Fest 2024 will close with Sunset Cantamaran Cruise at 3: 00 pm, aiming to enhance the  adventurous experience of the divers.
