What happened in match between West Indies and Bangladesh

The match began with Bangladesh winning the toss and opting to bat first. The openers failed to create such major impact with the batting and West Indies gained some momentum in the middle overs which didn’t last longer following the electrifying knock by Jaker Ali.

Jaker Ali took charge and scored 72 runs in 41 deliveries, hitting 3 fours and 6 sixes. This knock by Ali helped Bangladesh finish the game with a commanding total of 189-7.

When West Indies came to bat, they started on a very slow and poor note as they lost three of their top 4 batters. From that point, the host nation did not recover as they kept on losing their wickets.

The bowlers of Bangladesh team performed brilliantly, concluding Windies innings in 109 runs in just 16.4 overs.

Arnos Vale Sports Complex brought thousands of spectators

The West Indies team played at Arnos Vale Stadium after a period of almost 10 years. The stadium came alive as the West Indies faced Bangladesh this week, bringing a true magic on the pitch and the stands.

The tourism authority of St Vincent and the Grenadines shed light on hosting the game after 10 years and said that the unmatched vibrancy of the Vincentian people, the rhythmic beats, and the undeniable love of Caribbean for cricket turned these nights into a celebration of sport and spirit.

They highlighted about the warmth pride and passion of the citizens for cricket and said that it shone brighter than ever and make St Vincent and the Grenadines, the ultimate destination for world-class sports tourism.

Also, the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association unveiled that the tickets of the matches were completely sold-out before the starting of the game. They noted that the sold-out status of the tickets is a testament to the nation’s enthusiasm for cricket and its dedication to the home team.

“Vincy, you’ve done it! We’re thrilled by the incredible passion and numbers you’ve brought to rally behind our team,” noted St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association.
