Antigua and Barbuda welcomes three cruise ships, bringing 4,000 passengers

Antigua and Barbuda welcomed three vessels including, Azamara Journey, Mein Schiff 3, and Crystal Serenity to the shores of the island nation on Thursday, 14th November, 2024 bringing around 4000 passengers to the country. The arrival of thousands of passengers highlights a significant boost in the tourism sector, aiming to promote Antigua and Barbuda’s appeal as the premier destination for all the travellers.

The vessels that were docked at the shores of the country included, Azamara Journey, Mein Schiff 3, and Crystal Serenity. The authorities called the arrival of these three ships, a significant boost towards their cruise sector.

While extending welcome to all the vessels, the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority stated, “Today, we are pleased to welcome Azamara Journey, Mein Schiff 3, and Crystal Serenity to Heritage Quay today. We hope you enjoy your visit!”

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority stated that they are committed to enhance the overall experience of all their visitors by providing them a wonderful stay at the island nation which is filled with adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable memories.

Moreover, the authorities have also planned an exciting schedule of events for the Antigua Tourism Week 2024. This celebration will be conducted under the theme, “Our Cruise Sector: Realizing the Benefits and Embracing Sustainability for the Future.”

The authorities said that they are aiming to welcome thousands of passengers this cruise season 2024-25, with a vision to provide an unforgettable experience to all the visitors.

This Antigua Tourism Week 2024 is expected to play a significant role in attracting large number of tourists and elevating the sector to greater heights.

Sunday, 17th November, 2024: Service of Thanksgiving, Sweetes Wesleyan Holiness Church (10:00 am) and Staff Fun Day – Ffryes Beach (1:00 pm)

Tuesday, 19th November, 2024: Tourism Charity Day – Move Off (9:00 am), From the Ministry of Tourism

Wednesday, 20th November, 2024: Know Your Product Day Sunset Cruise, Onboard Mystic Cruises (4:00 pm)

Thursday, 21st November, 2024: It Begins With Us Pre School March (Move Off 10:00 am from Social Security Parking Lot)

Friday, 22nd November, 2024: Tourism Blast Off – Lower St. Mary’s Street

Sunday, 24th November, 2024: National Tourism Awards Gala (7:00 pm) at Sandals Grande Antigua
