Bahamas: The taxi drivers with their vehicles decorated with Bahamian prints have been spotted on the streets of London on Friday. This was the part of the Bahamas Branded Taxis campaign which will run through January 31, 2025.
The campaign was started by the Bahamas Tourist Office in London in February 2024 as one of the marketing initiatives, aiming to enhance the tourism practices of the country. Under the initiative, the exterior and interior of the taxis on the streets of London should be decorated with the captivating imagery.
The images showcased the pristine beauty and the rich culture of the Bahamas, aiming to attract the travellers from across the globe. The aim behind the usage of the taxi in the marketing initiative is to spread the message that the Bahamas is easily accessible and warmly welcoming.
Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis also met with taxi drivers who taxies were decorated with the Bahamas-themed imagery. He lauded them and talked to them about the people who asked them about the reason behind this cultural showcase.
The campaign features beautiful images of the Bahamas and also turn the attention of the travellers towards the flights of the Virgin Atlantic which provides service from London Heathrow Airport to Nassau, enticing onlookers and making them visit the country.
The aim of the initiative is to highlight the true culture and heritage of the country, aiming to encourage people to visit the destination. The natural landscape and other top attractions of the Bahamas will also be showcased on the taxi.
Besides this, the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation also launched a 6-month campaign in which London Hop on Hop off bus will be used to enhance the presence of the country in the UK.
The campaign is aimed at raising awareness about the ease of the air connection between London and the Bahamas. The campaign will run through January 4, 2025. The buses will shed light on the seamless service between US and the Bahamas, and Europe and the Bahamas.
