Cayman Islands: Cayman Airways has taken the inflight experience in a new direction with the introduction of the Caribbean’s first-ever signature airline craft beer. They have named it “Sir Turtle’s Sky Brew” which is an exclusive Indian Pale Ale (IPA) designed for enjoyment at cruise altitude and is now made available to all of their international jet route passengers.
Designed specially for air travel
Cayman Airways and Cayman Islands Brewery put together this unique and exclusive blend. It is designed to fit the special environment of air travel which includes changes in altitude and pressure which might affect the taste. According to details shared by the authorities, they did extensive taste testing on the ground and in the air to make sure they delivered a bold flavor of a classic IPA which at the same time is smooth and refreshing.
Through this initiative, Cayman Airways has dedicated itself to bringing the island’s culture and creativity in the spotlight. At the heart of it is Sir Turtle, the national airline’s much loved mascot – a key element of the beer’s brand identity, which represents the pride and identity behind the product.
Sir Turtle’s Sky Brew – Complimentary taste of Cayman
Notably, Sir Turtle’s Sky Brew was first launched on May 22, 2025. On international routes, passengers traveling on Cayman Airways over the age of 18 are offered a free can of the brew as a complimentary drink for flying with them. As for extra cans that run out, they are made available for purchase in the flights at $6 each.
This introduction of a new service in the air carrier’s tradition of including local flavor in what it does, similar to its well known “Seven Fathoms Rum Punch.” With this latest introduction, Cayman Airways not only improves passenger comfort but also adds a memorable and distinct Caymanian touch to the travel experience.
