Castries, Saint Lucia: Thirteen year old student has been shot in the head and killed on Wednesday. The student belonged to the Melchizepek Gilbert Tixcy of Blanchard Desruisseaux and became the victim of the home invasion in the evening.
As per the reports, an unknown assistant has entered the house of the student and suddenly started firing. Due to this, the victim has been shot in the head and declared dead on the spot.
The youngster was conveyed to the St. Jude, whilst in care, he succumbed to his injury. The incident sent shock waves across the country as with his crime incident, the national Homicide count rose to 49.
As per the reports, the victim was a case of mistaken identity as his older brother was the intended target. The investigation has launched into the matter and the areas has been corned off by the police.
The police stated that they were investigating the entire matter and further details will be shared afterwards.
Notably, at the same time, place have confirmed another shooting incident and the police also sealed the area. The police is also processing the crime scene and the factual details are yet to come in Saint Lucia.
Netizens reacted to the situation and stated that this is sad as the crime scene also comes with depressing stories. The violence and murder incident have been increasing in Saint Lucia due to which citizens expressed concerns.
One added that this is the dark and sad Emancipation Day for the family and event for the country.
Earlier Saint Lucia reported the incidents of shootings in one of the schools and threatened the lives of the children. Netizens added that the government must respond to these cases and work for controlling the cases of the crime and violence.
