This luxurious Tranquility Beach Resort in Dominica forms part of Hilton’s Curio Collection. It is a highly anticipated target completion set for the year 2025. The development, begun in 2019, suffered several setbacks occasioned by the global pandemic COVID-19, amongst others. This resort will mark a game-changing moment in eco-friendly tourism to the island.
Tranquility Beach Resort is coming along impressively, including villas hanging off the cliffs, tree stays, and a commitment to sustainability. The DSR provides a unique luxury experience not replicated on this island paradise. The final design includes 99 rooms, including suites, villas, penthouses, and treehouses, thoughtfully integrated with the island’s natural beauty. Guests will find a spa, wellness centre, beach club, rooftop lounge, with several cliff-hanging villas and a spa set for completion in 2024, leading to a grand opening in 2025.
It will be unique and complete with butler-attended beachfront villas and a rooftop bar with 360-degree ocean views overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Notably, the villas hang off cliffs 100 feet above sea level, overlooking the ocean in dramatic style and affording guests exceptional and authentic experiences.

The presented resort is a luxury eco-friendly development with unique architectural designs, such as cliff-hanging villas and treehouses, while keeping environmental sustainability at its core.
Initiated by Ian Sugar George Edwards, a Dominican-born property developer, the resort is proud and dedicated to improving the island’s tourism. Edwards developed the resort with Chairman and CEO Neil Freeman of Aries Capital. The property has stayed true to its concept of combining sustainability with luxury. Therefore, being transformed into an eco-sensitive retreat for stylish travellers.
A site visit this past May 2024, led by Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, has allowed the construction progress to be seen and reassured confidence in the trajectory of the resort. He assured on this account, “We are absolutely committed, the government and myself personally, to ensuring that this project comes to a prosperous completion and that Dominicans can benefit from its operations.”
When completed, the resort will generate about 100 permanent jobs, further enhancing the economy of Dominica through increased employment and more opportunities within the tourism sector. The other important aspect of this project is that it aims to set a model example for responsible tourism, namely, to reinvest the funds from CBI into the community and the environment.
The resort is assured of benefiting from connectivity and recognition from one of the most renowned global hospitality companies, further raising the profile of Dominica on the world luxury travel map.
